In December 2024, Tyler asked his girlfriend of several months to “get drinks” with another female friend, to which she agreed. He and the other woman went to Bistro 422 and later returned to the Pit, before kissing in outer stores. The next day, Tyler told his girlfriend about the kiss and asked for permission to have sex with the other woman. He was confused when she became upset, and he claimed that by asking to “get drinks” he had insinuated that he was seeking a physical connection with his female friend. His girlfriend chose to believe it was a genuine misunderstanding after he apologized profusely and assured her it would not happen again, and the pair remained together. They were AlumniBog co-captains in January 2025.

In early November 2025, Tyler asked his girlfriend for a threesome with the other woman while drunk at a TBog spirit event. This interaction was caught on camera, as another TBog team member was recording an unrelated video close by. When she refused and became upset, he left with the other woman and did not return to the event for over an hour. In December 2025, his girlfriend requested that he not drink around the female friend, which he refused.

Related to this instance of infidelity, his girlfriend developed symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder beginning in early 2025, for which she had to seek treatment in January 2026. Tyler denies any wrongdoing, despite confirmation of events from the female friend involved.

In early 2026, Tyler was involved in a cheating scandal involving his successor as Drum Majur, Alyssa Tiw. The pair began an emotional affair in mid-November 2025, at times engaging in inappropriate behaviour such as unnecessary touching, blatant favouritism, and outright flirting in front of other members of the Skule community, including Alyssa’s then-boyfriend. Tyler’s then-girlfriend, having graduated the year prior, was not aware of these behaviours and was informed of the situation in early 2026.

Alyssa and Tyler both broke up with their respective partners over the 2T5-2T6 winter break, after which they pretended not to date for two months before beginning their official relationship in March 2026. This instance of bnadcest was generally by regarded by Skule community as being “pretty fucked up” and “a bad look for the Bnad”. The couple deny any wrongdoing.
