The Hardhat Oath

The Hardhat Oath is an oath taken by incoming engineers to officially become F!rosh. It is generally taken during Matriculation and is a modified version of the Rifleman's Creed.

Text of the oath

This is my hardhat. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My hardhat is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me, my hardhat is useless.
Without my hardhat, I am useless.
I must wear my hardhat true. My hardhat is human even as I am, because it is my life. Thus, I will love it as a sibling. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its decorations. Its chains and its buckles.
I will keep my hardhat clean and ready. Even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before Godiva, I swear this creed. My hardhat and myself are defenders of my faculty. We are the masters of all other faculties. We are the saviours of my profession.
