Students who have survived their first year in engineering are eligible to purchase University of Toronto Engineering coveralls at the Engineering Stores. In addition to serving a practical purchase of protecting oneself when engaging in a variety of high-energy or high-risk activities, coveralls serve as a form of personal expression. Owners are encouraged to decorate their coveralls in the manner they see most fit in reflecting their own unique personality and pride in their engineering, often acquiring patches and applying a variety of artistic techniques to serve as ornamentation.
