The NSight Mentorship Program, abbreviated “NSight” (hereinafter “the program”), aims to assist first-year students enrolled in the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto. In particular, we seek to create a welcoming community and support system for F!rosh, thereby easing their transition from high school to university. The program pairs first-year students (“mentees”) with upper-year students (“mentors”) and organizes various social and academic events throughout the year. Mentors gain leadership experience and develop their communication skills, while mentees gain the opportunity to network with their classmates, upper-year Engineering Science students, professors, and university staff.
