After the majority of the engineering crowd had left the library, staff plead with the remaining leaders to stop any further book check-outs. They provided the argument that the library faced a restricted budget while extra staff would need to be recruited for the replacement of the books when they were returned, and taking more books out would only damage the library, not students of SMC. A resolution was reached and after talks between the library and SMCSU, it was agreed that students from St. Mike's would be assigned to aid in the return of books to the shelves. Satisfied with the result, the holds on books were released and the books that had been signed out were returned to the library over the next month.

==Further Action==
No further action was taken against SMC. However, while absent from the official [[Havenger Scunt]] list, a provision was made to give points to any team that liberated SMC property for the Scunt. One team "acquired" a stone bench. They were later ordered to return it immediately by the [[Mice]].
