'''Gordon R. Slemon''' was a Canadian electrical engineer and academic administrator. He was the dean of the University of Toronto Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. He was the 9th dean between 1979 and 1986. He recently passed away in 2011. Prior to working at the University of Toronto, he was an Assistant Professor at the Nova Scotia Technical College. In 1955, he joined the University of Toronto as an Associate Professor and was later promoted to Professor in 1964. Subsequently he became the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering between 1966 to 1976 before his appointment to deanship.
